MENTAL HEALTH & EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
The Red Shoe Project is designed around helping people overcome mental health struggles and reach their full potential through optimal well-being. We often face struggles with our mental health. In the United States, nearly half of all people will struggle with mental health problems at some point in their lifetime. The Red Shoe Project helps people come to terms with mental illnesses to overcome them.
Beyond mental health though, we strive to help the individuals in our communities achieve optimal well-being. Researchers from different disciplines have examined the aspects of well-being and determined that it can be broken down into the following areas:
- Physical well-being
- Economic well-being
- Social well-being
- Development and activity
- Emotional well-being
- Psychological well-being
- Life satisfaction
- Domain specific satisfaction
- Engaging activities and work
The Red Shoe Project brings attention to each of these areas in order to help each individual reach their full potential overcoming mental health and realizing emotional wellness and well-being.
