PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
DAWN MCCOY
Dawn’s passion for inspiring others to new heights in the past 10 years has grabbed the attention of many in her community with a contagious energy. Holding degrees in Counseling Psychology, Counseling Ministry, Psychology and emphasizing the Behavioral Sciences, she has dedicated her life’s mission to HELP HEAL and GROW her community by getting to know other small business owners, executives in the nonprofit world, as well as the elite leaders of the Inland Empire by mentoring a “Build Up from Within” program in mental health and emotional pain which can include workplace trauma.
To ensure the change that Mental and Emotional Wellness are embraced, Dawn has taken her nonprofit work to the streets by speaking/advocating on various topics such as: Mental Fitness, Emotional Wellness tactics in mind, body and spirit, strategies on moving forward towards a more fulfilling lifestyle before/during COVID norms, motivational help for others in the workplace (in-home and digital) Cancer Care, Eating Disorders, Art therapies, Chaplaincy and more!
Dawn has dedicated her time in volunteering with Rotary of Club of Redlands, Redlands Bowl Associates, Redlands Chamber of Commerce, The Unforgettables Foundation and Business Women’s Associates of San Bernardino since 2011. Her passion is to serve others and learn from the experts.
October 2019 Dawn was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer and has been utilizing Covid regulations as a time to heal and educate others more on the importance of nutrition and mental fitness techniques to overcome disease. She is free and clear of any cancer currently July 2020.
In March 2020, Dawn was awarded the Women of Distinction 40th District by James C. Ramos.
Currently, she answers the call through zoom and telehealth and serves as the Mental Health Support and Instructor Talk Circles (ZOOM) at Family Service Association of Redlands and has joined together with the Redlands Strong Campaign for community outreach and hospitality gift bags.
CHAPLAIN & SPIRITUAL CARE
DAVID MCCOY
David has a mission to inspire others around him just by his stories and understanding to an ever changing world. His deep passion for Counseling Ministry and Chaplaincy has carried Red Shoe Project, Inc. into the tagline we use today. To HELP HEAL and GROW our community by bridging the gap between a light and dark place in others’ lives.
From working in a blue collar job for 28 yrs. in the postal industry to being retired the last 29 yrs., David acts as a mental and emotional anchor for those who hurt during the lowest times in their lives. The powerful experience he has to connect to others with gentle dialogue and a bended ear is something unique and very special.
Wisdom and Trust is what he brings to the community. With a servanthood leadership demeanor, David has been skilled to take a broken spirit in a person and has helped countless men grow into trusting God first and in all their ways to acknowledge a spirit filled life is an abundant way of living.
LIFE CARE COACH & COORDINATOR CANCER DIVISION
THEREN MCCOY
Theren holds a special place in her community by being the advocate for those dealing with Cancer, before, during and after diagnosis. Her ability to come alongside the individual diagnosed, as well as help nurture the family dynamic and support system is outstanding.
With her special attention to detail in hospitality and warmth, Theren’s example of a “mothering style” has been embraced by her community. Her many talents in art and creative modalities helps others to “just be” and rest in her unique coaching style.
She is an advocate and support within the hospital setting for her clients while tending the needs of the home life of the one diagnosed. She is mindful of the physical toll that disease can have on the body and encourages those diagnosed to “slow-down” and let us help you through the process.
Since 2012, Theren and her team have implemented a monthly support group for the whole family affected by Cancer and by 2018 “Healing Strong Redlands Chapter” was formed. To embrace Nutrition, Supplementation, Detoxification and Emotional Health are vital to survive and thrive.
LIFE CARE COACH & BREAST HEALTH WARRIOR
PAM NULL, AIFD
Pam is a “Breast Health Warrior” that shares her cancer journey with everyone she meets.
Being an advocate for using non-toxic means to fight and reverse cancer. Pam addresses the 7 key principles of cancer therapy. She is mindful of the physical toll that a traditional method of therapy and disease can have on the body and encourages those diagnosed to “take a look” at the test results and nutrition one is facing. Each person is an individual and the treatment they choose should be individual also.
Pam has helped many throughout the Inland Empire embrace that nutrition and good support system can truly affect the healing journey of overcoming the trials from being diagnosed. The fundamentals of cancer healing are embraced in healing the whole person: emotional, nutritional and detoxification.
